We have had a very eventful summer. I know everyone else has too. I am going to try to use this blog more as I had originally intended. I got all the events that I had on my plate last time I posted successfully completed. We have been camping a lot this summer and have made a trip to the beach which was wonderful!! I have had a slow couple months with no events to plan and coordinate. Now we have Emma's 4th birthday coming up, so wooo hooo party planning!!! I think we will be doing princesses and pirates.
Well on the downside I have had a emotion past week. We found out about a month ago we were expecting our second child and Em was going to be a big sister. Things started going wrong last Saturday and my deepest fears were confirmed by ultrasound on Monday, my baby had no heartbeat or blood supply. It was deemed a nonviable pregnancy, yes that nonchalantly by many. I was devastated and felt empty and I am trying to deal with it. I was also very deeply disappointed by the information that is NOT available online in regard to early pregnancy loss and the miscarriage process itself. There is tons regarding grief and emotion and the definition of the terms but nothing to guide you through what to expect physically. I have not decided yet but I feel the need to help fill this void and I want to do this either through a new blog or by writing a book of some sort. I don't know but I want to help other women in this situation.
Please continue to keep our family in your prayers we will come through this.
As for this blog I will try to get on here more often and keep things positive and lively that is something I need in my life right now. I had planned to get on here to keep people posted on my pregnancy progress but plans change for reasons not always known to us. Well bye until next time

Finally getting back to a routine!
Well after a few weeks of interupted schedules we are finally getting back into a routine. We had the week of Emma's surgery itself off schedule, then off the week after surgery, and then the ice storm. Finally this week we were back in daycare and back to work. Yipeee! Emma really likes stability so it is hard for her to do the back and forth with the schedules. We took a week out of school over Christmas and that was bad with having days off for holidays too. I am just glad that maybe we will be "normal" for a while.
We are getting into a routine again and I am looking to get Emma into something "extracurricular" like dance if I can find something that will work with our schedule. My little girl is growing up so fast. I asked her if she wanted to go to dance class and she said "I already know how to DANCE!" I will try to upload a video of her dancing! It is very amusing. Her dancing sometimes is dancing and other times is runing in circles kicking one leg out to the side.
I hope most of you are warm again by now. We were very lucky with the weather. We only lost power for about 3 days and didn't have much damage from the falling trees.
More to come soon!

You never know what you'll see with a toddler around
Okay so sunday night at our house I find Emma and see this! She has taken a balloon left over from daddy's bday party Friday and stuck it under her shirt. I ask her what she is doing and she grins that sweet little girl grin and says "I got a baby in my belly" And keeps rubbing the sides and patting it. I asked her what it is and she says " I got a brudder in my belly" I had to take a picture. Chad says "the things you see in arkansas---meaning pregnant toddler" (and notice she is barefoot) What little girl doesn't dream of this some day or at least stick something under her shirt and say it. I just didn't figure on my 3 year old doing it. And she is dreaming of a brother or sister not baby of her own. And oh yes, I get the hint!! I am just waiting for daddy to catch on to the idea more so! Who knows maybe not too much longer and she can say she is getting a "brudder or sisser". Well I just had to share!

Just Getting Started
Well I decided to try to start a family blog. I had a blog I just started for me but I want to do one for family and friends. So we will start with a little background on "The Jarrett Family".
I am Jennifer and I grew up in Bay, Arkansas. I met Chad in 1999 and we married in 2002. We had our daughter Emma Alene Jarrett Sept. 15, 2005.
Chad and I both attended ASU, here in Jonesboro. I went back and got my master's in nursing, graduating in 2007. I work as an APN at NEA Clinic in the Cardiology department. And Chad works for an oil company.
I love my daughter more than anything in the world. She is my world and my pride and joy. I love to try to do special things with her. I love to do crafts that are centered around her, I guess that is where she gets it she loves art/craft projects too. I mainly scrapbooking, decorations for her room and small sewing projects. I love crafts and hope to work more time in my life for that.
We attend Valley View Church of Christ. I love it there, we have a large membership but you still get that small church feeling in the classes and through other church activities. We have a great youth group it seems and we are constantly having events for the little ones and the teens too. The love of God is so great at this church I feel blessed to be a member there and every time I go it makes me want to be a better/stronger christian.
Well I am not sure what all I will put on here but I guess this is a start. Feel free to leave me comments, questions, whatever. More to come!
